Myself, being a huge car/motorsport enthusiast, is always going to track days, autocross, drag racing etc..., but my wife (dancer, painter, and actor) was not really a car person, and didn't understand why people go to a track and drive their car.

So.. We recently purchased a 2006 Mini Cooper S for her daily driver

And.. I figured taking her to an autocross would be the perfect way to introduce her to some "behind the wheel" action and help her understand why people are into driving their cars to the limits.

Well it definitely worked! She is much more in tune with her car and wants to go do more autocross and a track day in the future.

As for the Mini, it is a really fun autocross car! Can't wait to ditch the "mashed potato tires" and get some 200 tread wears on there :D along with some brake pads and high temp fluid.
