Road & Track's R53 buyer's guide from July 2016!
I was doing some Mini reading and came across this: http://www.roadandtrack.com/car-cult...-buyers-guide/
Published a full 10 years after production ceased for the R53, it's something of an homage to the supercharged gen 1 car. It also makes mention of NAM...

Great find. Drove a Gen2 once and no Gen3 but pretty happy with the Gen1 and since I modded it a little to get some more HP, very very happy with it.
Oh, my vert can hold up quite well against any Gen2 in the twisties so I don't want to hear about the vert's stiffness. If I was racing it is on thing, but for the cruiser and once in a while corner carving, its suits my needs quite well.

Love the pics in the article. The R53/R50 is still the only car I just really stare at when I see it on the street. I have no connection to another vehicle the way I have one with the R53. Just a great looking car.
