Best tire for JCW R95 18" Wheel

Just picked up a set of really nice JCW 18" R95 rims, starting to look for tires, and I am stuck between 3 different sizes to look at. Wanted to gauge and see what everyone else is running and what would be the best for me. The sizes I am looking at are:

215/40/18
215/35/18
215/45/18

My car is stock S (not JCW) and not lowered, and I plan not to be lowered anytime soon. I also live in Michigan for half the year, which means the roads are pretty bad. I know with these being 18's, I know the ride will be pretty harsh compared to my current 16" X-Lites. I really don't want to rub that much if I have to. Thanks!!

I am thinking you put this in the Tires/Wheels/Brakes of the General Mini section. Let me know if you would like me to move it.

The tire guys review that section more so you might get some better responses.

Have those exact wheels on my Mini Cooper S. Mine is lowered with springs therefore I mounted 215/35/18 Nitto.

If you don't plan on lowering your car, I would suggest you use 215/40/18 to fill the gap between the tire and the fender.

Here's a pic of my cooper

If you lower it alot just watch 215 for rubbing. I have 205/40/18 on my R58. With 205 you will be a bit more safe when lowered alot.

03cooperr53 did you have a rubbing?

No rubbing issues. No need for spacers as well.
