driving fast?
I drive my MINI every day during the week. I am in the field from about 8-4 daily & I make it a point to never go more than 5 mph over the speed limit whilst on the clock. (My company doesn't pay me/my tickets to speed from client to client). On Sundays, I have my kids & I try to never go over 85 with them in the car.
Saturdays are a slightly different story... My girlfriend and other friends say its like being in the front seat on a rollercoaster. On the edge, yet in control at maximum speed... super fun and exciting with a little scare around some corners.
Oh, I can't not mention the occaisional solo late night runs, and those Boxters, and ricers I seem to find ot the most opportune times to have fun with.

Pre MINI (Honda Civic) - Conservative. Watchful. Cautious. 70 mph max. Getting out of the way of those who want to go faster, those maniacs.
Post MINI - Like a bat outta h*ll. Cautious/aggressive. Use far right lane to pass if left lane is occupied by a Civic and middle lane occupied by grocery-getter. Yelling at cars in left lane, "Get outta my way you urban assault vehicle!" Maniac.
And loving EVERY second of it.

I drive fast but after last weekend, I won't be driving so fast.
My MINI was hit last Friday in a parking lot and I was reluctantly driving my husband's Lincoln on Sunday - yes, we're an odd couple.
I got pulled over by a state trooper and got a big ticket ($178) - going 72 in 55 zone (out in the boonies). From now on, I will be slower.
That is until the memory of the ticket fades...
I am an aggressive driver but very careful - the roads/drivers in Nashville suck. I hate hitting potholes in my MINI and swerve a lot.

Full Speed ahead
I've always had a heavy foot on the gas pedal and my Mini lets me charge ahead of all the traffic (while watching for stateies). You should see the look on the faces of those 18 wheel drivers.
My husband now drives 'zoom-zoom' since driving my Mini.
We love to drive it everywhere but on trips with various weather condition have to take the stodgy Honda for luggage space.

I have always had a bit of a problem with my heavy right foot, so much so that I was a ticket away from licence suspention when I was 22. So, I drive aggressively, sometimes fast, but generally within the law. I am very defensive as I think everyone esle on the road is half asleep at best. Plus, it's the wine country and the crazy wine tasting tourists on the twisty roads are a bit scary!!!
Around town, pretty conservative, saving on gas. On winding back roads, love the curves at high speed! On the freeway, usually about 10-20 miles over the speed limit (going with the flow of traffic), with scanner tuned to the low-power CHP channels. They let ya know when they are close, and the CHP aircraft work the same channels.
I havn't had any tickets since I was 20 years old, and I'm 43 now!
Fastest MINI speed recorded: 95 MPH, trying to catch up with the NorCal MINI folks on Highway 50 headed toward Placerville (mostly uphill too).
