Two Questions:

1) Does anyone know where I can get my hands on a pair of the clear/white side turn signal covers? I like them much better than the stock orange color.

2) I would like to save $$$ by installing my bonnet strips on my own. If anyone has done this before, please post some tips or pointers as this will be my first time trying something like this. I figure that it can't be all that hard. I've tinted my own windows with much success and am mechanically inclined - I'm sure I can do it, but just want a little affrimation I guess. =)

Motor ON!

To mount the bonnet stripes with the least amount of grief (and bubbles), spray the hood and the backside of the stripes with a spray bottle of water (use quite a bit). Sounds nutty, but this will allow the stripe to be layed down and re-positioned a little and the water helps you "float out" any bubbles. When you go to squeegie it down, start in the center and work your way out to the edges.

Good luck!

Um... $80.00 US if you have them added at the factory. That's not a big deal... But my pre-spec doesn't come with them -I need to add them. For my MINI dealership to do this, I was quoted a price of over $250.00. I think this is a very high number considering that many private, non MINI body shops tell me they could do the bonnet in under a half hour. Thus I'm seeking a different route.

In addition, I'm definately taking offense at that Kia comment. Who wouldn't? You could have said Ford or Dodge... but KIA!!!! Jeeze!
