Mine's a female. I've no name for her, not yet, and maybe I never will. Why is she female? I don't know exactly why, but even before she arrived on our shores here I was talking about her as a...well, "HER". So, that's it, she's a she, and there is no going back on that. :smile:

Of course, my being single right now might have something to do with it, or maybe it's because I think of her as a ship, and all the kind of talking about a ship that goes with that. Such as, "She's got great lines," etc. Which reminds me, I think they speak of aircraft as being female, not just ships. For whatever reason, "She's a great little car, other than the upholstery being the wrong color," is what comes off my lips when I speak of her, instead of, "He's a great little car, etc." Let's face it, in my opinion, the latter just DOESN'T sound right.

Am I being sexist? (And, if I am, does anyone care?)

There are few who could love their MINI more than I do (but probably many who love 'em just as much) but mine has neither gender or name after almost two years. I myself am somewhat mystified by this....but, alas, it is so. Its a very "guy" kinda MINI in some ways (IB/W Cooper).....but it's also having a clear bra installed today.

I think of it more as a puppy that just wags it's tail and gets all happy for a chance to go out motoring. It's very eager and playful (...and tragically, I haven't met too many females with a similar disposition). Although it is somewhat sassy. (...like my 19 year old daughter! )

In the end, I've just shelved the whole gender-thing in relation to my MINI, because after all, it IS (...not just) a car. Same thing applied to names.

 

Mine is female. If only it could reproduce .

I wish people would learn how to park their cars. That is what those painted lines are on the ground for, right? In the "Parking Lot".

Just last night I caught some guy parallel parking in front of my car and he put the *** of his car right on top of Sparky's nose. Like Sparky was some sort of *** sniffer or something.
