R50/53 R56 Owner: What are all these lights on the front of an R53?

R56 Owner: What are all these lights on the front of an R53?
I own an R56 so I don't know what all these lights do on the R53. Wanted to ask since I was curious.
1. Headlight (easy one)
2. Turn signal?
3. Turn signal also? Why are there two overlapping rings?
4. Fog light?
5. Brake duct inlet?

1 - low beam headlight.
2 - artistic expression - serves no purpose but to exist.
3 - high beam headlight.
4 - turn signal and front marker (parking light).
5 - fog light - you can remove it and use it as a break duct.

Also, just a note, those headlights are from the face-lift R53 (not that it matters much, but just some additional info). Pre-facelift R53 MINI Cooper S 2002 - 2004 and Facelift R53 MINI Cooper S 2004 - 2006 (The MINI Cooper S received a facelift in July 2004). Some more info on that here.
