Don't give them 5 stars on anything. If you do have some more problems resulting from this ordeal, they will point to that and say you were happy and satisfied at the time and deny everything you would be entitled to.

Give them as few stars as you see fit.

Hey,
Give them two stars, they did bring your car back, that's worth a star or two.

Catherine the Service Manager told me to just give her a heads up next time I come in for service and she will take care of everything but I was thinking about the road trip/vacation somewhere to get the next service.

I did get them to give me a Car Cover and deliver the car to me in S.B. But I had to promise to give 5 stars.

what do you guys think? Keep in mind that "anything less than 5 is failing."
If the car cover they gave you is the same crummy piece of crap I bought, (outdoor cover, $197), and then returned after looking at it, I'd give them 0 stars for the cover and the whole ordeal.

I just had my MINI in for service....wonder if they'd trade a new Borla exhaust for 5 stars.........hmmmmm.

MINIUSA called the other day for the survey and the only thing I gave them 5 stars on is 'ease of getting an appointment' and zero or one star for the rest.

My MINI and I are now busy trying to get reaquainted and figure out if we can recover from this fiasco and salvage our relationship. I washed it this weekend and we are definatley making progress. Glad I should not need service for 15,300 more miles which should take at least a year.

sb, Once you get out and motor, meet up with other MINIacs, and have some fun again with your MINI, you'll feel good about her/him again! And by the time you need another service appointment, you will have many choices of MINI service departments to choose from. You don't have to go back to Bob Smith. You can try the new dealership that's opening in Hermosa Beach.

Happy motoring, dear!

sbgobig - I figure you already know this but those surveys are not anonymous. Our local dealer had a printout of a survey from an owner that was not happy with the service and the printout was verbatim.

Beastmaster,
Are you implying that I should be afraid of retaliation? Regardless I simply could not give them the high ratings they wanted. I would not recommend them to a friend. When my car was done the service writer said "your car is ready." On the survey they ask to be rated on whether they explained all the work done and they obviously did not. The guy was not friendly, the appoligy was half harted if that, and it was very clear that they did not care about me or my car. Now you don't have to really care but at least pretend to care especially when you consider what happened in my situation.

I admit that they delivered the car to me and threw in a car cover but that does not negate all the things they did wrong.
