36,000 mile service at 38,000 miles?????
Our MINI's have a 3 year/36,000 mile free service which supposedly amounts to 1 oil change and 2 Inspection services, right?
What happens when Inspection 2 falls outside of the 36,000 miles? Will the dealer service and reset the car if it's not yet reached the expected service miles?
I just did Inspection 1 at 23,450 miles (I had -2,000 miles made my service appointment over 2 months ago) . Now it says the next service is in 15,000 miles putting me over and past the 36,000 miles included. Does that mean I will be paying for my next service?

Richard, I believe you can expect an annual service, even if you haven't reached the number on the prompter. And I'd think that would be especially true if you are coming up on 36K. Maybe someone else can speak more assuredly to this issue. At any rate, I'd give several SoCal dealerships a call and ask. Let us know!

Well to answer my own question, I just called Nick Alexander and Chad told me that yes, as I suspected, I will be paying for my next service which is actually just an oil change, before Inspection 2 comes. I forgot about the intermediate oil change.
Unless I can make the Next servicing light read 1000 miles or less when I reach 35,999 they can't do the service early. Which is likely considering I reached the first oil change early due to my "driving style".
He said the only way to continue to get the maintenance free is to extend the service contract before it expires. Hahaha, guess it's time to go buy those Rhino Ramps.

Richard, when was your last service? Was it within the last year? I think if you read your owner's manual carefully, somewhere it says you are entitled to an annual service. I'd call a few other dealerships to make sure that Chad was correct. When I purchased Wanda, I also sprang for the extended service warranty. You can find one online and see if it's feasible, eh?

It was yesterday! My MINI is 1 year old now. Hmm, I wasn't aware of this, I'm pretty sure it's 36,000 miles or 3 years which ever comes first--so my miles will come long before my years do. LOL
