I'm in the process of installing my meth injection kit....and while testing out the pump I noticed that when you turn it on it pulses. I put a pressure gauge inline with the injector nozzle so I can read the pressure and it will run up to around 100psi, turn off, the pressure drops to around 70psi...then it turns back on again. It probably pulses around 3 or 4 times a second.

I'm pretty sure that's how these "on demand" type pumps work.....but is that kind of pulsing really what you want for an injection system? It's a Surflow 8000 series pump...the same one all kinds of people seem to me using.

One thing I did figure out is that if you crank in the screw in the pressure regulator on the end of the pump....eventually you will reach the pressure limit of the pump (165psi)...and it stops pulsing because the pressure switch is basilly just stuck on. With a 2pgm nozzle running at 165psi....is that too much? Will that kind of pressure destroy the pump?

What is everyone else doing? They just live with the pulsing?
