just wondering if anyone knows what software version teh 05 models are running... are they the same as the v 3.8 that's now being installed on the older models? thanks....

 

I think that you might find a "branch" in the software starting with the 05's. Up until now, all Cooper engines were the same, and all Cooper S engines were the same. Now at least the Cooper S engines have changed somewhat. Perhaps the difference in the engines will require a little fine tuning that is different from the 04's back. Those extra horsepower come from somewhere, and chances are that the software has to account for the difference.
