New wheels and tires before MTTS?

I've been looking at wheels for a while now and I think I've finally settled on what I want. The car we're taking on MTTS has two that are starting to get spotty so I figure I might want to replace them before the trip.

I don't want something that will break the bank but I need decent performance across the board.

I originally wanted the Toyo Proxes R1R but it doesn't look like Tire Rack is carrying them anymore

So the other choices are

Yokohama Advan Neova AD08
(This is getting pricey for me with the wheels as well. I really like them but I'm worried I will get less than 20,000 miles which for the price isn't worth it to me.)

Conti Extreme Contact DW
(I almost bought the DWS but I was talked out of it by multiple other parties "Continental always fall apart" and that the BFgoodrich comp2 A/S were better. They're alright but I think a dedicated summer tire would be better.)

Firestone Wide Oval Indy 500 (I was considering these until earlier when I saw a couple miata guys had terrible wet handling with them.

I'm open to other suggestions (just not Michellin pilot sports please).

Thanks!

I have the continental DW's on my car and am really happy with them. My wife just did a HPDE in the car and the tires held up amazing with great grip. The price was great through tire rack. I don't have enough miles in them to know how long they are going to last. I just put them on a month ago. I will not be buying DWS tires again. I have them on my BMW and had no issues with them but on my mothers car, I had to replace three because every time she hit a curb, the sidewall would get a large bubble in it.

I have a thread started on tires, too.
Ended up with he Conti DSW06s after a recommendation (several) on here and a killer deal and rebate from tirerack. Many positive reviews from tirerack, too.

Continental ControlContact Sport AS here. I believe they are only available at Discount Tire. Had them on my previous E46 BMW and currently have them on my wife's Volvo. I went with the 215/45R 17 size to ease the ride a little.

I talked to them and they are supposed to let me know how long of a wait it would be if they can get anymore but I haven't got anything back yet so

TireRack isn't the only tire dealer. Toyo has them on their website so I don't think it is out of production.
