Slightly different locking problem question

Ive searched though several threads on locking issue, and there are many. Only found 1 that was similar to my issue but noone had responded to the OP so I figured it was worth posting a new question.
So on my 2006 Mini cooper, the door locks recently quit working via the fob or the center console switch at random I first thought. The door or the hatch, none of them lock or unlock. The thing that is different is turns out this only happens after you drive it. When you come back to it a bit later, everything works as normal so I think that rules out fuses and actuators. (that and the fact the doors both always lock unlock with the key in the drivers door no problem)
So come out to the car, locks work fine you can unlock and lock with fob or switch. Drive to work, cant lock the car unless using the door keyhole. fob and center swtich still do nothing. Come out at lunch and everything is normal, get back from lunch, fob and dash switch dont work. Go home end of day, locks working again, get home not working.
It feels like the car thinks you are inside still or the key is and is refusing to lock. Then after enough time passes it just figures you must have gotten out. I did ad an aux jack using the bmw kit this same week, is there anychance that might be the issue? I may unplug it to test when I have time to get back behind the console again.

Just a guess - try checking and cleaning the ground connections and wiring harness connections (I use a spray called deoxit).

Have you opened the door to check for water /moisture ?

About the Aux jack - there is a chance you loosened something or disturbed a ground. I would go back and double check that work and the general area you were working

I'm assuming you don't have a spare key you can test out? I think maybe undoing the jack to test to see might be a good idea and as David said double check the work you performed.
