Blinker issue

Hi all. Just picked up my 04 r53 cooper S the other day. I'm having an issue with the right turn indicators and I need some help.

When I turn the stalk to the left side, all the bulbs work as intended. When I turn the stalk to the right side, the interior clicking is faster. Outside, all the bulbs flash once then stop flashing.

When I press the hazard button, the same happens, all the right bulbs flash once then stop flashing. All the left bulbs seem to work fine. This makes me think it's not a fuse because all the right bulbs flash once. What should I do? Thank you

Something else to note. When the car is off, the blinkers on the left work but they blink at 2x the speed. The blinkers at the right blink at normal speed. When the hazard is on and the car is off, all blinkers work at the correct speed, normally

Do you have correct bulbs ( type and wattage ) in all the bulb sockets ?

Is one or more sides LED and the other standard incandescent ?

Usually a fast blink in the first gen MINI is attributed to"

- Harness connector not plugged into back of bulb socket fully.
- Bulb is blown.
- Use of an aftermarket LED bulb.

I have experienced all three of the above in my 03'.

I believe they are all the correct bulbs because they match the left side which works. None of them are LED. When the car is off, the right side still blinks quicker, but all the bulbs work. When the car is on, the 3 bulbs on the right side all flash once and then stop flashing. Same when using the hazards

Maybe one or more and not correct wattage.

How about swapping them around ( left side to right and visa versa ) and seeing if any change or if blinking issue follows where bulbs went to.

Best idea I can come up with at the moment which doesnt cost you any $$$.

I just experienced the "fast blink" due to a connection not fully inserted.
