Hi all,

New member here that just picked up a 2005 MCS and came across a strange vibration in the clutch pedal. I did a search but couldnt find anything concrete and wondered if anybody has experienced what I am.

When I downshift from 3rd to 2nd (and sometimes 4th to 3rd) there is a distinct vibration in the clutch pedal and with the car. Ive found that if I do a heel toe downshift this vibration doesnt happen. Also when Im just driving if I lightly place my foot over the clutch its definitely vibrating while in gear. Does anyone know what this could be? According to the previous owner (and with receipts to prove it) the clutch was replaced within the past 5000 miles.

Was the flywheel replaced?

There's multiple things it could be.

You could be slipping the clutch on engagement.
Friction surfaces didn't get cleaned before install.
The flywheel wasn't replaced.
Someone hotspotted the flywheel or pressure plate.
