Took out my Getrag 5 speed and had it rebuilt. Got it reinstalled, and went to install the axles today... no drive cup (?) on drivers side! I'm having a hard time finding in depth pictures or parts fiche for this, and the rebuilder is out of the country right now.

If I purchase a new axle, will this cup (is there a proper term?) come with? Can I assume it just slides in, and doesn't need any sort of fastening from the inside?

This has been a much longer and arduous process than I thought it would be, and was really planning on having it tidied up today, but it doesn't look like that will be the case.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

What I have of the axles. Shaft support on the passenger side is already installed. Thinking I sent the drive cup and it was just forgotten when it was returned after the rebuild?



I'm seriously hoping it's just a matter of picking up a new CV cup and sliding it in...

 

Look at real oem for a diagram of the trans. May show you what you need or don't need. Hope this helps.

 

Are you talking about the output shaft seal 23117550058 here, #8 below?
