R53 FL xenon changed to D1s?

Just had a headlamp replaced on the R53 and noticed it uses D1S instead of D2S. When did it change?

The split was the 2005 facelift cars..... The style of the headlight changed, as did the bulb type...

Yep, around 7.2004 when they went from the non projector to the projector Xenons.

Mine is a FL/LCI R53 with projectors from the factory but the original lights from 2005 used D2S with projectors. However a (2015??) projector headlight uses D1s bulbs?

R53 2005+ D2S xenon . The 2015 R57 ? Yep D1S xenon The New ones are LED. F56+ 2014+

I thought it might be a Euro thing but the ones on your website says DOT D1S on the lens cover (third picture).
