Supercharger Belt

Hey Mini Gang!, YellowHA here. Just a quick question, I'm going to do my first belt tensioner replacement (diy). I have M7 16% pulley, also alta crank pulley not sure the size . the part in question is the drive belt. I'm considering buying the belt in my local store. Can I use the standard? Thanks Gang!.

Nobody can answer that question unless you find out if the alta crank damper stock or oversized...
A 535 length belt should be fine if the crank damper is stock....a 532 is used by many with the 17%, but that might be too tight with a 16%....both belts are common sizes, and at about $20 locally, not a big deal to find...m7 pulies DID varry in size lots..some were bigger than 15% some smaller than 17%..quality issues for years..
The stock 1388 mm length belt (not sure about the as equivalent but know it would be 1390mm) is too long with a pulley...it will be OK for a few months, then slip..lots, even at higher rpm when new....
All bets are off about length if you find the crank damper is nonstandard...

When I bought my 15% pulley package at Way Motor works I was given Gates micro-V KO60535
I'm also running a ATI 2% super damper crank pulley.

You could also go with: Napa- 060535
Gatorback 4060537- Got this one from Hawaii import parts
Did a search on this lots of positive, people like the (whining sound) and they say it last longer.

That was a ZIPPY quick reply. Thanks Zip. The previous owner gave me this alta box with the old damper in it. though on the box I can see he wrote 2 and next to it is a faded marking which I believe is a % symbol. Now, I'm leaning that the one I have in the mini is indeed a 2% lightened crank pulley.
So my question will go on with this info. M7=16%, Alta=2% damper. Brand belt size= _____? Thanks again Gang! YellowHA.

Thanks 808, Aloha to you brotha! Given that my SC pulley is 16% and have the same damper crank pulley size. I'm not sure If a 1% difference have a big deal using those part#. Hmm should be no problem.
