R53 maintenance

So I bought my 2002 R53 almost a year ago, just clicked to 9 months. Wondering about maintaining not the obvious parts. So this is actually the first car I've owned, and none the less it is supercharged. So Wondering how do you know when it is time for a rebuild and if it is time for an oil swap? Transmission oil too. This has been a DD since birth, I am the 3rd owner and have driven her ~7000 miles since owning. Now sitting at 1382XX.

"General" maintenance can add up very quickly. Since the car is new to you (relatively) there's an argument that you should change all the fluids so there is no question about them (coolant, oil, brake, transmission)

I don't know the mileage, or how handy you are, but there's two schools of thought on other replacement/fixes:
- "I'm keeping this car forever, I want as little problems as possible, I want to fix things on my schedule"
- "If it ain't broke, don't fix"

There was a pretty exhaustive list created by the user nicefeet that I added to the other day, check into it (sorry, I'm on the iPad app right now, and can't link to it)

EDIT: just re-read your post.
The SC oil change in my opinion is a very important thing to do (I'm of the first school of thought), at that mileage I'd do it for sure (and will be doing it with my 06 as well). It's about a 6 hour job, and not too dificult

change the trans with some redline synthetic, keep up on the oil and filter changes and flush your brake fluid and coolant, it should let you know what else is needed , inspect the lower control arm bushings.

Change the oil every 5k miles

With that many miles it would be a good idea to change the trans fluid. I do like the redline MTL as it works well.

Brake Fluid change every 2 years.

A/C filter once a year

Engine air filter check once a year or every 25k miles.

Otherwise just check the car over regularly and repair as it needs.
