Missing Tensioner Lock Strap

I'm working on a 2003 MCS JCW. Was trying to change the belt when I noticed there is no strap in the tensioner to lock it open. Anyone know how do this without that strap or how to repair that? Green arrow is what I'm talking about.

Bad news.

You need a friend to pull the belt while you pull the tension off with the tool.

But to fix it you'll need to replace the tensioner, you can't add that tab back.

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...tine-belt.html

Its will be easier with two people to apply force.
