HELP - Cornering comparison - search
Help - a while ago (most likely a year ago) someone had put together a list of cars the MINI could out-corner (I think they used skid pad test from one of the popular car magazines). I thought it was on NAM but I've done a search and cannot find it.
If anyone remembers this list can you point me in the right direction?

drkslvrs,
Outcornering is a tough comparison, since it is highly dependent on the driver and the conditions. The best way to do it, is to look at the back of the car magazines and compare the test numbers for the slalom. The skidpad doesn't translate into the same information you have, since some cars with low skidpads, can actually go faster in a slalom that some cars with higher skidpad numbers. Since what you are looking for is speed through a slalom, I would stick to the slalom numbers. One of the more comprehensive ones with a list of numbers is Road and Track. In this magazine the Cooper S, did the slalom at 69.5mph. The only cars to do better are Z4 3.0i SMG (70.4), Viper SRT-10 Competition Coupe (78.3mph), Enzo Ferrari (73.0 mph), Saleen S7 (70.6 mph). That means this car is faster than the normal Viper SRT-10 and the Ford GT.
