Many Thanks to MINI of Nashville and Way at WMW
I thought of putting this post in the general MINI topic, but after reading some of those posts decided it was not the right place. Last week my wife and daughter got stranding in Nashville (we live in Knoxville, about 3 hour drive) with an 06 MCS R53 in limp mode. Long story shortened a lot, she limped it to MINI of Nashville. And you may not know that John Monk (my original saleman in 06) is now the service manager. He was not there but one of his service reps "Jamie" absolutely took over and made my wife and daughter feel comfortable, relaxed, in good hands and even though they were about to close, had a mechanic stay over and check out the problems. They gave her a new 2015 to drive back to Knoxville (free), called me the next morning to tell me the crank pulley had failed. My fault for knowing this was a pattern failure and not changing it already (102K). Knowing it was a pattern failure part, they allowed me to order one from Way at WMW and have it delivered the next day. Installed and fixed. John has surely turned that service department into a stellar functioning unit. I cannot give them enough thanks for taking care of us in such a situation. I also want to say thanks to Way for steering me toward the ATI super pulley, and personally ensuring that it would make the UPS deadline so it would be delivered the next day. Super guy, thanks Way. I did not get the name of the mechanic at MINI of Nashville, but I want to thank him also. He took exceptional care of my MINI. Next MINI I buy will be from Nashville, no questions.
