Go find a 2008 BMW Z4 M Coupe with low milage, best engine BMW ever made, also one of the classiest cars they ever made.. It's next on the list for me, or a new/used Jag F type... The resale on a used F is great for the buyer ") and it's a great car.. I've test driven both, got out of both car's drooling, we've got 5 cars right now, so my wife would castrate me if I brought another one home.... So i have to sell a couple... Anyway..

 

Guessing it will be priced +$3-5k over an SI....
And in that pricerange, why not start with a better car IMO.
The civic is decent, but it will always be a dressed up economy car, and once you get to the Si I + $$$$, why not get something with a better chasis to start...
If they bring it to the US, sure they might sell a few, but IMO it will be more of a status symbol than a performance car...just like a $40,000 loaded JCW....
