Clearing EML light
Hey guys. Just wondering if there was a way to clear the EML light on my own? I couldn't really find anywhere on NAM.. Thanks
If not on my own maybe give recommendations on where I can take my mini in the SoCal Orange County area. also a rough estimate on the diagnostic & cost to fix. thanks

The Peake R5/EMX obd scan tool is a nice one for gen 1 MINIs. I have one.

Lets you know the OBD code and can clear it as well.
Can also reset oil change or inspection due reminders.
Also, a lot of auto parts stores read and clear codes for free or a nominal fee.

Perhaps I'm missing something, but have you already read out the code and fixed the problem? The code helps a lot with troubleshooting. There are many different problems that will generate different codes. The light just tells you something is wrong that needs attention. Some auto part stores will read the code for free. It is impossible to know what it should cost to fix without that.

I use an el-cheap-o OBD2 bluetooth adapter to read my codes and to clear EML among other things.
Cheers!
