Hey Boge,

This might not be the popular response with some, but I would stay away from the car if you have 2nd thoughts. I bought an 02' out of sheer impulse. The car is a Mini thru n' thru. No problems there....but I really wanted a Pepper White, but bought the Indi Blue because the deal was sweeter-Bad Move!

I've modified the car somewhat to be more acceptable to me, but I'd trade quickly for an 05' if I had the $.

If you are going to pay 22k, buy exactly what you want and don't "settle".

Coop...

Here's what I don't like so much:
The ride is pretty rough and the visibility is not wonderful.
The gas mileage is not as good as I expected, especially considering that I'm paying for premium!
Amenities like cargo handling capabilities, cup holders, etc. were not well thought out.

"Sports utility Miata"! That's awesome.

I've had mine for 24 hours now, and agree about the rough ride, but I think the visibility is actually good. It seems like you can't see much around you, but the mirrors are placed perfectly (at least for me, I'm a little over 6') and give a wide field of vision when they're adjusted properly.

Cockpit ergonomics on the other hand, are not good. But I can get over that!

I'm pretty much getting what I want. My only complaint was for the solid sun roof cover with the Antracite (which no body has officially confirmed yet), and the MP3 player, which I though was an option, but now I'm hearing it's standard. I'm sure most of you are reading that on that motoringfile site or whatever. I won't believe it until the person I'm buying it from says,"Yes, you are getting MP3 playback." I'm also not happy about the MFSW. I've never liked them and to put an aftermarket player in that won't even use the MFSW, that's even worse.

Boge, All I can say is I've had too many cars to remember (including a civic). NOTHING was this much fun! People always ask questions about it. You can trick it forever and the harder you drive it the better it performs.

I can also offer you my 16in. 5-star at a good deal (pm me).

This car is more fun than should be legal - and for 20K-ish that's a great deal no matter how you look at it..
