Hi guys,

It's been a while.... Sold my 04 a couple years ago and now i'm looking at purchasing a 2006 Mini S.

I've been out of the loop for a while so i'd like some input regarding the 06 Mini S. What should i look out for? Any reccuring problems that i should be aware of?

Here are the details of the car.
Asking $5800 CAD
158,000 kms which works out to roughly 100k miles
6 speed manual transmission, sunroof, heated seats, comes with winter tires on 16" mags and summer tires on Mini 17" mags.
Car looks to be in very nice shape with no rust.
As far as mechanics go, the owner says everything is A1.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Let me know what you guys think.

 

Get a mechanic that knows mini's to look at it...
Lower control arm bushings, engine mounts, etc are all suspect...
Also sit in the passenger seat and make sure the airbag light works right....that about a $1200 fix...
Look for mods, rust ,etc...all pretty standard stuff.

 

That sounds like a cheap 06, could be a great deal, use caution.
