"NEW" 2006 Cooper S

Really excited about my "new" Mini Cooper S hardtop. My 17 year old daughter has inherited my Countryman, so that left me looking for a replacement vehicle. I've driven a Mini for the last 10 years, so when I found this one it was a no brainer. I had a 06 S convertible a few years ago but boy is this a whole other animal.
I would love to hear from anyone with knowledge about the upgrades this has. I'm pretty familiar with them but not well enough to know how they will all work together for the long run. Much appreciated.

Here it is:

Installed Aero side skirts, fully adjustable Megan coil overs, adjustable camber, rear sway bar and end links, HR lower control arms, CAI stainless header with catalytic converter, Miltek exhaust, 15% pulley, new ATI crank pulley, 450cc fuel injectors, RMW cam and tune, Dinan upper strut tower brace, drilled and slotted brake rotors with Hawk pads all around, Montegi wheels.
Cockpit Chrono Package (On-Board Computer), Cold Weather Package (Heated Front Seats, Heated Mirrors, and Heated Washer Jets), Convenience Package (Auto Headlights, Auto-Dimming Rear-View Mirror, Rain Sensor, and Universal Garage Door Opener), Premium Package (Automatic Air Conditioning, Cruise Control, Electric Panoramic Sunroof, and Multifunction Steering Wheel), Sport Package (Dynamic Stability Control, Front Fog Lamps, and Xenon Headlights), 1.6L I4 SOHC 16V Supercharged Intercooled, 6-Speed Automatic.

Having trouble uploading photos. Will put some up very soon.

Congrats on your new-to-you R53. Sounds like it was a well-optioned car that has had some nice upgrades added. I haven't done much to my suspension (just a rear sway bar), but the power mods you listed are great.

The good news is that much of what you can do to a MINI has been done, the bad news is that the thrill of the upgrade is kinda gone since you can't enjoy the "before" and "after". Looks like some quality hardware too, from the Milltek exhaust to the RMW parts -- that's good stuff right there

Did you have a PPI (pre-purchase inspection) done? A common concern some have about buying a heavily modded MINI is this: many performance upgrades could mean the car has been driven hard. But, I'd guess (hope) that someone who put that much into upgrading their car spent as much money and diligence on regular maintenance.

Look forward to some pics, and enjoy 'er in good health!

Thanks for the Congrats fridayxiii! So far I'm loving it. I did have it looked over by my Mini dealership. Car was very clean and definitely babied. It's gonna be a fun ride.

Here are some pics.

Nice looking car... and with the listed MODs it must be a real quick one... 450 injectors... I always think of a crazed MINI Gremlin laughing maniacally dumping pails of fuel into the intake when I see this... With the right tune it is probably running 220+ hp at the wheels.

Very nice indeed...

And I like the way you passed the Countryman down...

Motor on!
