Not sure if these are offered anywhere else in the US, but Maryland offers a BMW chapter license plate, I was thinking about getting some since BMW owns mini rite? Thoughts? Comments? Concerns? They would be going on my r53.

If you had a BMW that would be one thing, but you have a MINI. I think it's kind of cheesy. Why don't you see what it takes to get a MINI club plate made.

My thoughts too....
If you want a BMW....buy one...
And a r53 is the LEAST BMW of all the new mini's.....

I hear ya, I was just curious since there isn't any mini club plates or anything. I imagine the start up fee for something like that is probably pretty pricey.

And I've owned two BMWs 740i and a 540i.

If I recall (been a long time since I read about it), Massachusetts, will do plates once 5000 folks sigh-up, extra cost is about $50+, donated a charity and split with the state....
Might be something along similar lines....
Obviously, as a mini driver, I do not dislike BMW, but I think a BMW plate on a mini will get a lot of bad thoughts....to one immersed in new mini's, it does kinda sorta almost make sense in Europe where mini's are sold in BMW dealers....in north america, where mini dealers are standalone, don't think it will resonate with anything but bad vibes....somewhere along the lines of "is that a joke...what does he think he is driving...etc"...
Heck..gen1 cars are about half ROVER....Guess you cold use any of the old rover nameplates if you use the same basic thinking...
