ANyone else had over heating problems? How about window regulator problems?

My wifes car started acting up with the temps going all the way up when sitting in traffic. I'm thinking its a blown thermostat, the tow truck just picked it up to take it into the dealer. Her window also stopped rolling down, something her old "New Beetle" did all the time.

And they still haven't solved the stalling problem.

I'm glad this is her ride and not mine...

We've had both issues. 4 times - new coolant tank - 5th time - fuse was blown and the temp gauge did the same thing - normal when driving, showed hot while sitting in traffic.

Last month, the passenger window wouldn't go down. Dealer replaced the motor and everything seems to be fine now. Both are known issues at the Dealers.

Chow!

Had similar overheating problem. Cooling fan for the power steering pump locked up and blew fuse which also controlled the radiator cooling fan. Baron MINI in Merriam, KS, replaced power steering fan and fuse under warranty. Everything A-OK now. Have not yet experienced window regulator problems.

Just a few weeks ago, I had the same problem. Like Santa, it was the power steering fan. It had siezed up and blew a fuse. I'm a little concerned about the durability, but they assured me that the fan assembly had been redesigned and was much less vulnerable now. I hope they're right.
