front chrome trim removal problem

im trying to take off the chrome trim that's on the front of the car but I cant seem to get to upper piece off. the bottom came off easily but the top wont.
I have all the little clips undone and its about to come off but right in the center there is something holding it down. im afraid if I pull too hard its going to snap. How the hell do I get it off

pop the hood.... youll see 10 nuts on plastic screws, these are what is holding that grill to the hood, remove those with a flat head screw driver and 10 or 12mm socket ( dontremeber) grill will come out, takes a bit of time, need to put pressure on the nut to get it connecting with the plastic bolt. then when thats off, i would imagine it wouldnt take much getting the chrome piece off, it was a bit floppy on mine when i replaced with a different grill
