R50/53 Tire offset help
Tire offset help
Hey guys. I have had my 2005 r50 for a couple of months, recently upgraded my wheels from stock 15 inch ones to OZ Ultraleggera 17 inch. 2 inches more and only 2 pounds heavier per tire. Pretty impressive.
Anyways I need new tires, but the offset for the oz is scaring me. It's 37et. Wheels are 17x7
Just wondering what tires to get:
Michilin Pilot Sport A/S3 w-rated - 205/45/17
Michilin Pilot Sport A/S3 w-rated - 215/45/17. Best value and preferred choice
Michilin Pilot Sport A/S3 V- rated- 205/40/17
My suspension is stock and I would like no rubbing if possible.
Your help is greatly appreciate

here is a tool for you, right here on NAM
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...calculator.php
then use the info on tirerack.com for the OD and width of the tires themselves
when i was going through the process of going from 18" summer tires to 16" winter tires, i went to a local independant tire store (i use them for all my car/truck tires) and they fit up used tires of various sizes on my new 16" rims and mounted them on the car to check the fit ... they even sat in the car to load it
i had done my homework as far as the OD of various 16" tires compared to the oem 18" tire OD
hope this helps
