Hello everyone!

Hello,

I'm a 15 year old in Ohio. I joined these forums because I'm going to be getting a MINI as my car when I'm 16 in February. I will get either a new 2005 MINI S or a Used 2004 S. Maybe a New 2004 S. I'm not sure. I found this website and it looks like a good community. I've reached the conclusion that the S is better than the standard MINI, no? Also, how many people use iPods in their MINIs?? I will be using my iPod in mine. Is the factory installed Aux. Audio input work well? Does it work well with the standard stereo or the Harmon Kardon one??? One last question. If I get a used MINI S without the Aux. input, can my local dealer install the one that you can order with a new MINI?? Or would I have to install an after-market aux. input, and if so, can anyone recommend one. Those last questions are probably for the Audio forums though.

thanks,
James

p.s. I can't decide between Blue w/ white roof and white bonnet stripes, or Red with white roof and white bonnet stripes... It's a hard decision!!

Hey James. You got good taste.

You can also add an aftermarket Aux input using Blitzsafe
modules. Run a quick search and you'll fine plenty of info on this.

I bought an aftermarket Alpine 6CD changer and using the Blitzsafe module.
works great. It has the aux input, but haven't needed to use it yet.

Goodluck with your ride.

Welcome, The AUX input simply plugs into the back of the head unit and does not even require dash disassembly. I use an XM satellite receiver and it sounds great. I'm sure your Ipod will also work. There is a million posts if you search the audio forum.....P.S. Buy the "S"...you'll love it!
