there ya go.... i spent a total of $100 for my whole setup including the ski carrier and i lost a qtower foot and pad

Thats amazing! I dont think I will be that thrifty but WAY less than buying brand new. I think I will be under 200$ by the time I am all said and done.

haha it helps when the crossbars and the towers are free, ebay'd the replacement foot and pad, got the clips at KTP which is 20 min away from my house

Has anyone tried to use a Gen 2 roof rack on a Gen 1 roof? I have a Thule roof rack system and the pads scratch the roof and leave marks no matter what material you put under it.
