How to remove rubber door seal on bottom of door?

Howdee -

I happen to have rust developing behind this seal. How can I remove it without damaging to paint. I intend to use the old seal after the paint job.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Mike

How do they come off? You didn't answer my question. Do they glue on?

If I have to replace them I will, I'd like to know how to properly remove them...

Been a while since I have had a set in front of me but I believe they are white push pins as depicted in the image I posted either # 9 or 11.

Ok thanks, ultimately I'd crawl underneath tomorrow and take a look. I looked underneath briefly today, but didn't notice anything that "stuck out" as the obvious thing!

Its has long snap that snap into small slits on the bottom. Its not that hard to take out , just pull on them a bit from the end , then line the new on up and push in way , new ones to put in are a little tight , just press firm with your thumb. Using the old one watch for rust on these on the end. Also they have a metal core , so if you pull them too hard they can kink up and then you have to bend them back straight. I just replaced mine.
