told mini about the click / clunk sound over most bumps in the hatch of my mini.

a simple adjustment of the latch mechanism solved this clicking sound i heard going over usually small bumps in the road.

the moved the latch farther away from the car, to the point just before the hatch door doesnt make contact with the switch.

just thought id share, as i remember others having similar sounds!

this was adjusted / moved "towards you" if you are looking at it from the back of the car.



im assuming it was a slight movement, as i cant "see" any difference in the hatch from the outside while its closed.

 

Just a minor adjustment , nice. Sounds like the hook was just off a hair and the compression on the latch lock was not pressing on it , causing the rattle.

 

dunno, seems like it comes and goes... something was clicking just now going to lunch and back.

click squeak crack goes the mini. my 87 celica made less noise...
