Looks great! What drop did you dial in with the Megans and what's the offset on your wheels?

Megans are next on my list and I'm looking for settings...

If the question is "should I go lower?" the answer is always "yes"

Any lower lower would be distasteful

Looks great to me. If/when I get to modding the suspension of my car, I'll go for the same - maybe one finger of wheel gap (if that) but not slammed. Well done!

I see that you hang-out with VW guys. Having said that, please discard their suggestions that you go lower. Those guys, generally speaking, are not concerned with actual performance, mostly looks.

I think it looks good. What's the offset? it looks like you at least have enough fender gap to keep from rubbing the fronts when cornering hard.

Which Megans did you use? The ones with built-in camber plates, I assume.

Oh and for anyone wondering the megans are awsome i love the damper adjustment and cmaber adjustment im not exactly shure how much i dropped it but i literally have 0 clearance and rubbing isses less than before actully because i set the dampening high so it takes the bumps no rubbing. Anyone on stock suspention in higher miles woul enjoy these they actully make the ride more stiff but more comfy because the struts and shocks arnt blown

Looks really sharp! I especially like how the wheels come out a little more.

ET 30. What's the wheel width?

Wow, that's a lot.

ET 30 on 8 inch will stick out 1.1 inches more than stock

Stock was ET 48 on 7 inch

I think it looks pretty good, it's right on the edge of the line between tasteful lowering and the distasteful crap I see with the current trend. I'm glad to see your tires are only stretched a tiny bit. When I see someone say "stanced" I immediately cringe and think it's going to be something like this:

So I'm glad you didn't take it that far. Being new to the MINI community I haven't seen one done like that yet, and I'm hoping I won't, but I'm sure I will.

Just making sure. I'm worried the honda kids will start snatching up R53's.

Honda is one of a very select group of Manufacturers who consistently puts out cars equipped with engines that make 100hp per Liter of displacement w/out forced induction; an impressive feat. Civic SI, RSX-S, S2000, etc. All of these have 100hp per Liter.

-The Naturally Aspirated B16a (1.6L) in a 99'-00 Civic SI makes 160hp.
-The Supercharged 1.6L in an R53 makes 163hp.
They have essentially identical 0-60 and 1/4 miles times, not to mention, the Civic is heavier. One could do much worse than to buy a Honda, just saying

It's the people that buy the used Hondas. I have a honda tattoo on my back I've had for 14 years. I'm not proud of it and I was drunk when I got it but I used to be a die hard Honda enthusiast until the wannabe gangster idiots started to set the trends. I could post a video link of a shooting at a car meet that happened last weekend in Orlando by a bunch of Honda owners but I'm sure you can take my word for it.

Florida has an abnormally "gangster" type Honda scene. Agreed. It's quite peculiar. Anyhow, I digress.

Hondas can be quick however to be honest i have never seen one with paint that is as good as the worst looking minis paint and body condition is in. And i agree i do not care for the people that seem to be into the hondas because they are so cheap to get good power results out of and you can buy one for 1-3 grand off somone that runs it tends to attract headstrong kids that think they are somehow better than everyonelse or faster. And as you said the wannbe ganster type. Last weekend i had an 17ish year old kid fresh outtahighschool it looked like Come up to me and all the euros. Proceede to tell us our cars were crap and his 92 integra would whoop my mini and the GTIs. My grandmother used to have one of those too!!! Goodjob hondaboy!
