R50/53 R53 supercharger noise. Bad?

Thanks for the video. I tend to think it is the SC.
Did you eliminate the adjusting pulley as the culprit ?
I just replaced my belt tensioner and separate adjusting pulley which cleared up two sounds. 1 - whirring noise ( tensioner pulley ) 2 - shrill whistle ( adjusting pulley )
Neither of them sound like the rattle you have.

130,000 on sc now.
Yes, everything is silent except sc. The bushing stopped the noise I had when taking off from stop with rpms below 2k.
I'm going to spend a chunk and get a new sc, tpr2t head, cam , header, exhaust and some other bits with a tune. If I'm doing one might as well do it all at once.

I have the same ticking noise that you hear when you took off the belt, is that normal??
Also, i can kinda hear the same noise when using a stethoscope on my SC :( hopefully not going out soon (110k on it, oil was full when replaced last year)
When you do happen to replace it, can you post here if you found any oil left in the SC?
Thanks.

Mine started to make the same noise the other day and did some research. Looked like the most common cause was the timing chain tensioner so I replaced it, but no luck. Took it to a specialist and it turned out to be the supercharger. The repair came out to ~$2,800 to replace the supercharger, timing chain, and valve cover gasket. Worst part is the supercharger has to be ordered from Germany and is going to take 7-12 business days to ship =(
