JCW air box vacuum line and boost gauge ?s

I have a 06 JCW. I have remove the flap from the air box a while ago, but I left the mechanism and all the pluming for the flap actuator. I'm going to be installing a boost gauge here right quick and was wondering if I could just use the vacuum line that goes to the air box. It serves no purpose as it is now. Would save me pulling the intercooler and it would keep the vacuum line away from most of the heat.
Thanks for the help

Nop, you'll have to get the proper line, which is under the intercooler, on the boost side. Using the vacuum line on the air box will only show you vacuum.

you dont Have to pull the IC... some long needle nose pliers and a flashlight will get you where you need to go.

also, dont pull the vac line from that flapper deal, youll have weird fluctuations in boost (someone CUT mine, had a yoyo effect with boost gauge). finally found the cut line and plugged it, yoyo went away.
