Rear washer leak

My Gen 1 MINI's rear washer has gotten a little weak, and I noticed that
it's also dribbling out the bottom of the hatch (on the inside) and running out
onto the bumper, so there must be a leak inside the hatch somewhere.

Before I start taking off all the inside hatch trim (and I better wait for a little
warmer day or I'll probably crack most of the trim clips) I was wondering if
someone else had some experience with how things are routed and hooked up.
The Bentley manual is quite lacking in this spot, and the realoem pages are
a bit limited as well here. I suspect a hose or connector has partly worked its way loose or has cracked. I guess I'll find out when I get in there.

Anyway, maybe someone who's been there before can shed some light on this.

No, some of the washer fluid is leaking inside the hatch (only when I run the rear washer)
and dripping out the bottom. Don't have a sun roof.

Well, I took off the rear hatch lower trim, and the leak is where the plastic fitting
at the end of the hose presses onto the inner nipple. This part slides onto the gear case
cover (which comes off easily with 5 tiny torx screws), but I don't think you can get
this part separately from the whole motor assembly.
Anybody know about this?

Anyway, I think I'll try some Teflon pipe tape to snug it up and see if that works.
If there was a rubber washer or seal in there, it must have totally disintegrated.

For the rear, make sure to clean the spray nozzle, again with the pin. Sometimes people have gotten cogs back by the non return valve and had to replace it.

Here is the Rear wiper motor itself. Are you leaking between the motor and the case also? If you are there is no separate part for that.

Thanks

It was the connector at the end of the hose (after the non-return valve) right where
it connects to the inner nipple on the back side of the gear/mechanism cover that was
leaking. Not a good enough seal from the rubber insert in that part to the inner nipple.
I wound some teflon tape around the nipple and it's now snug enough not to leak while
still able to rotate without binding. It should be good for a while now. I believe that
part is considered part of the whole motor part and not available separately, so I'm glad
I could acheive a quick fix.
