I'll be in San Francisco in a few weeks and also driving down to Santa Cruz and
back.......will be staying in the Sunset part of the city. Do any of you Californians
know of a place nearby where I can rent a Mini while I'm there? Thanks.

Specialty Rentals in SF rents Minis. It is supposedly $87 - $159 per day. Yikes! Still, it might be worth it. I don't know if they have any manuals or Cooper S MINIs available. You can check their website at http://www.specialtyrentals.com. Good luck and have a great time in the Bay Area.

In the Boston area , minis can be had through zipcar.com Don't know how much,but I was amused to see a ly mc with the zip car logo on the side.

 

Driven Image has some Cooper S's for rent at $129USD/day + $1.00 per mile over 100 miles.

Thanks for the rental info.....and the restaurant recommendations. However, at those prices I think I'll pretend I'm a 49er and rent a mule instead.
