on the side of the road again...

Number three!

In the middle of bumper to bumper traffic, and my clutch pedal just good to the floor and stays there.

Pushed it of to the side of the road and look under the car and My clutch actuator that bolts to the side of the Trans is Blown.

Are they expensive/hard to reprime?

Sorry to hear that, what car do you have? I'm guessing an R53 right? The clutch slave is about 30.00 to 60.00 depending on where you get it. Bleeding its a bit hard if not done right .

Yep what he said. They can be tricky to bleed.

If you go to the Mot oring alliance site DIY section for R53 there is a nice DIY write up

That's an R53, get the 30.00 slave from ECS or another MINI shop, the brand is FTE is the same as the MINI branded, make your own tool to compress the slave, when you change it be careful not to loose the connector that goes from the feeding pipe in to the salve cylinder, when you take it off it could stay inside the cylinder and you have to carefully fish it out do not discharge the old one until you are sure of this.
I did it with a bleeder there are different methods around the web but trust me the bleeder is worth every penny and it will save you a headache specially with the MINI.

Sorry to hear this! Good news is that it is not difficult to replace and bleeding is straightforward and yes, as mentioned above, a power bleeder is very helpful.

For a DIY on this procedure, click Clutch Master & Slave Cylinder Replacement. We offer the OE supplier FTE brand you will find further info for here.

If you are familiar with Motive Power Bleeders, they are excellent in these situations: Motive Products on Pelican

Keep us posted as to your fix and get back the road again if you haven't already!
