Factory Service Manual

Where can I pick up a factory service manual? I have a Bentley manual, but it does not go into overhauling the bottom end at all. No connecting rod bolt torques, Main bearing bolt torques (engine bottom half?) torques. No dimensions or anything.

What have the engine builders picked up for books? I have some engine blueprinting and engine air flow books, but nothing for the tritech engine.

I'm going all in, and I'm working with a local engine builder, but I'd like to have the proper references for myself.

No answer yet,... I was holding off because I can not point you *exactly* to the right details (like year)... But I saw this question answered a while back.

Hoping that as you search, knowing that our TriTec 1.6 Mini Cooper engine is the same as a Dodge Neon engine. Thats the closest answer I have, and wish I could tell you exactly which year and model neon to look for the bottom end rebuild and torque specs.

still looking! The dealer said they wouldn't sell me a service tech manual, and Mini of America told me to bring my car to the dealer haha!

I hear they are all online, but I can't seem to source a good quality pdf, that doesn't seem shady.

Well....
The tritec WAS installed in some dodge neons that WERE exported to some countries that (we would call them 3rd world) that the us 4 cylinder motor "overpowered" for....
The motor was a joint venture....the old Chrysler (pre dahlmar, pre-fiat) needed a very LOW VOLUME motor for just a few cars....remember...Chrysler never was a big exporter....
The motor used was BELOW the cooper in hp....it basicly matched the MINI ONE...tge euro only low hp stripper of a mini....
I suggest a Bentley .....
I'm thinking generic tq settings basedvon boltvsize should be fine....

This is what independent shops and dealers themselves use: https://www.minitis.com/. You can buy a 1-day pass for $30 and download what you need. The Bentley manual is also based on information scraped from the electronic manuals.
