alignment before new tires

So went to get new tires this weekend. Ended up they ordered the wrong tires. He said they already did the alignment so all I gotta do is go back and get my new tires put on. My question is do I need to have them redue the alignment or will it be ok. My car is still pulling a little to the left. Not as bad as before the alignment though.

If it's a shifted belt the car will pull no matter what. Rotate the fronts to the rears and see if it still pulls. If it tracks straight then your alignment is probably fine.

If not it could be a **** alignment or something else is the problem.

But them doing the alignment before putting on the new tires won't hurt anything

Your fine...
Alignment is usually done before new tires (can be done anytime) to give the new tires the best possible chance to wear evenly.

if it pulls after the new tires are broken in, then complain. New tires should be expected to be a little squirrely for a couple of hundred miles, especially wide performance tires. I put new tires on my 79 and was all over the road for the first 200 miles .... then things settled down.

Another note tho, for every 100 alignments places, ONE does a really good job and finding that one is right up there with finding a good dentist IMO. Ask around the local gear heads, especially the amateur racers. They know where the really really good local guy is. I found the one in Norfolk and sometimes think I'll drive my current cars from Florida to VA just to get a GOOD alignment!
