So many great ideas, I'm going to have to think about it. I have the 63' up for sale, so if it sells, I'll have a garage spot back for the MINI.

Thanks for all of the comments!

I have no garage and no choice – my MCS stays outside, but I do have a driveway off the road.

If you're doing this just to make garage space for the MINI, don't do it -- it's not worth it. You'll be kicking yourself for a long time.

My MINI stays outside. My other "baby" ('87 Jaguar XJ6 in pristine condition) lounges in my garage. The MINI is a modern car with modern paint and finish, etc. Like was said, keep it clean and waxed (for UV protection) and it will be fine. When I'm away for a while I wash it and cover it with a good car cover (I got one made for the MINI out of the "Noah" weather resistant fabric - really nice).

My car always stays in the garage. My wife claims SHE would be in the garage if I could figure a way to get the car up to the bedroom.

You'd be surprised how much room there is in a garage if you can scoot cars around. this past winter I stored a 944 for a pal of mine and four cars actually fir inot my three car garage. I had to put some positive stops on the floor and park specific vehicles in specific spots but the Porsche spent the whole winter with us and it did not bother us one bit. Yes you could not move it, but it didn't need moving.
