2006 Cooper (nonS) clutch replacement but not flywheel?
I was told that our 2006 Cooper (nonS) convert does not need the flywheel changed with a clutch change. 56k miles. The shop said that it has a solid flywheel, unlike the dual mass in the S.
That is correct as long as the flywheel doesn't have excess wear, or damage you can just reuse it with no issues. I've only every had 1 damaged bad enough to replace.
Thanks Waymotorworks...I am going to see what they are charging for parts and hopefully order from you guys instead.
While they are in there (only 56k miles) should I replace anything else other than control arm bushings? They said that they expect the seals to be ok.

Thanks for supporting us.
Just give me a call when you're ready to order and we'll make sure you get everything you need. But typically the clutch kit, and some powerflex bushings should do it. Sometimes we'll replace the fork and bushings, but not always as we've only seen a few worn out.
