R50 clutch pedal stopper ?

This is my first mini and I love it but I find it hard to get the smooth shifts that I'm use to in other manual trans cars . I've been driving 5 speeds since I was 13 yrs old . My clutch grabs high on the pedal and I've heard this is normal for Mini's.

I can get realy smooth shifts if I only push the pedal down 3/4 of the way down while shifting .

It's very hard for me to get use to the long travel of the pedal before it engages .

I'm looking at a clutch pedal stopper from burger motorsports .
My question is . I'm not sure which one i need to get . They offer two different ones and I'm not sure which one i need . My mini is a 2005 r50 .
I looked under my dash and my o.e stop looks like it just pushes in . The web site shows two . One is a 2006-12 which pushes in with shims and the other one for 82-2005 looks like it is a metric nut and bolt with a rubber stop on the end .
I'm hoping to here from someone that's had experience with this .
Thanks so much for any input .
