R50/53 Bike rack options for 2006 Mini using roof anchors
Bike rack options for 2006 Mini using roof anchors
I've got a 2006 Mini (non-S) with the factory roof anchors installed, and the corresponding bars. I know that I can either get a bike rack that mounts to the hatch, or mounts utilizing the roof bars. What are the pros and cons of each?
I would think that I'd save money by going with something that attaches using the my existing roof anchors and bars. Any suggestions, as I'm completely clueless to what my options are. The only requirement is something that I possibly haul two bikes with, and again, to keep it cheaper, something that utilizes the factory anchors/roof bars.
Thanks!

Here is the Rockymount version of the straight forks. They come in many color and are great for a color match look,. they work with the MINI OEM roof racks base bar system. Some guys trim the end a couple inches to clear the Cooper S or larger rear wing when the trunk is up.

So that gives you some options.
