R50/53 JCW kits and accessories for R56 not R53
JCW kits and accessories for R56 not R53
I'm in the market for a R53 Mini Cooper S. But before I get one I want to know a place where I can order the JCW complete aero kit, and possibly a GP spoiler/wing. But whenever I go to search online they are only available for the R56 and I don't want an R56 Mini because I prefer the R53 look and supercharger way more. Even on the Mini Cooper website almost all the nice accessories are only for the R56. For instance, the JCW spoiler/wing is available for the R56 but not the R53. will it fit an R53? And if you had a JCW rear bumper for a R53 could you put a R56 GP Rear Diffuser on the JCW R53 rear bumper? its impossible to find one for an R53. I kinda don't want to order from the Mini dealership because I believe it's overpriced there when I can go online and order from a trusted person/website for a bit cheaper. If anyone knows a source where I can obtain a JCW aero kit for an R53 online please let me know. and possibly a GP spoiler/wing. Thanks!
The Aero kit is available from OutMotoring.com for about $1600 plus shipping and paint. Not sure where to find a GP spoiler, but M7 makes a nice one that's functional. The R53 GP never had a rear diffuser and the R56 will NOT fit because of the exhaust routing around the battery box. I have seen people graft R56 bumpers onto R53s, but that requires a considerable amount of custom bodywork. I bet if you really wanted to you could make an R56 rear bumper and GP diffuser work on an R53 if you installed a straight through exhaust design that goes through the battery box, but that's quite a bit of work.

The Gen 1 is Called the Aero Kit officially. Even though its referred to as the JCW Aero.

The Full Aero body kit for the Gen 1 MINI R53 is NLA for the PDC version and non PDC. R52 Convertible kits are still available. I can see to build a kit, most of the parts are available separably.
Factory MINI Aero Full Body Kit W/ PDC - Primed - Priced As Kit - (NO LONGER AVAILABLE)

Factory MINI Aero Full Body Kit W/O PDC - Primed - Priced As Kit - (NO LONGER AVAILABLE)

Rear bumper Aero gen 1 Cooper S

The gen 2 Kit was called the JCW Aero kit or Aerodynamic kit.
For the GP 2 rear diffuser to fit on a gen 1 rear Aero bumper, its clearly not a factory fit, you would need allot of heavy mods to make it work.
You can get the GP Gen 1 rear wing. Then get all the sections and do the mod install. I will have to find the thread about it.

Thanks

I suggest checking around locally and with your dealer. Take them the pricing you find and see what they can do for you. The reason I say that is because body kits are so large the shipping charges will kill any savings you get. And if you mail order them prepainted it is easy for them to be scratched or damaged during shipping.
As for the wing find an aftermarket one, the oem one is crazy expensive, and won't fit unless you install the GP rear glass which will cost even more.
