R50/53 Protection of bonnet stripes
I saw a post of how to remove them, so I thought I would ask how to protect them? Are there certain products, i.e. scratchX, that should not come into contact with the bonnet stripes? Are you supposed to wax over the bonnet stripes?

The stripes are printed on a vinyl material and the color can easily be removed with an abrasive.
A super fine abrasive and a light touch can remove scratches from the stripes but you have to be careful because you can easily remove too much material (ink color).
Scratch X is WAY too coarse and will go through it quickly. A not abrasive, non-cleaner wax will help protect the stripes and I suggest coating the stripes when you wax the paint.

Love the PW/B. Thanks for the tips - I plan on getting the M(something - can't remember the name right now!) New GenX Wax which I suppose is supposed to be great. Think that will do the trick?
What about clay bar. Would you ever want to put clay bar on a bonnet scratch?
