Hey People,

Just wanted to let all the skeptics know , that there are some mini's out here that have not had one problem.

I picked up my mini, 10/2003. 10,000 miles later, I have had NO problems. Maybe becuase its a Pepper White "S". Not one leak or rattle or stutter. One thing I thougt that is pretty cool, is the automatic cutoff of the engine when you try to get above the red line on the tachometer ! The car is quick. I cant imagine dumping another 3 grand into it, to get added horsepower, unless your racing on a track. I am getting 28 Miles per gallon average. What little bit I did take it out in the snow this winter, it handled very well with the all season run flats.

In conclusion, BUY ONE  Below you will find pics of my flawless mini.

Glad to hear it! I'm scheduled to pick up my PW MCS this month -- I hope the first 10,000 miles are as flawless as yours have been.

Cheers,
-Justyn

Pepper White must = troublefree! My 9-04 build MCS also has over 10,000 troublefree miles so far. Not a squeek, rattle, or buzz. I did have v.36 software installed at no charge at the dealer.

Hey, noble...great looking car. I agree with you on the mods. My first one was only about $75 from Classic Mini in Ohio. I bought the EuroShelf and love it. It provides storage for garage door openers, sunglassses, etc....without cutting down on any leg room.

I'm sure there are some MINIs that have no problems and some that have more than their share. Many owners of both groups are not on NAM. Some don't bother to belong to MINI groups in our local areas. They just motor around unaware of any good or bad things happening elsewhere. And that is just fine.

My MCS is a year older than yours and I have only about 13,000 miles driven. In the first year I didn't have very many problems but since then I bunch more have surfaced. After over $10,000 in mods my MCS is very quick. Before you dismiss doing more power mods you might try driving an MCS with as little as $1000-2000 of the right kind of big gains per buck sort like a 17 or 19% reduction pulley, alta intake, cat-back exhaust or ECU upgrade (not all required for a big improvement). Of course if you are very happy with your current power then just save your $$$ and keep motoring. Nothing wrong with that at all. I still get about 26 or 27 mpg when I want to. Enjoy.

Buying one doesn't mean that your experience will be as good or better or worse as anyone else's.
Certainly if you want to risk having great fun with a unique car then go ahead and take a chance.
Most of us will not trade or sell our MINIs anytime soon.
